Simply attach a butane gas canister (not included) to the base, then turn the gas on with the gray rotating switch on the end of the torch. This is also used to adjust flame length. Then press the trigger for a powerful flame. Turn the round, gray rotating switch at the base of the barrel to adjust flame width.
